Data Storage page

This window lets you indicate the place where the note file will be stored and to restore the notes list from the reserve copy.

You can select the following locations as a storage place for your notes:

Keep in mind that regardless of the fact, where the note file is located, simultaneous access to it by several users is impossible!

If your note file gets damaged or corrupted, you can restore it from a reserve backup copy. These copies are stored in the same folder where the note file is located. They have .bak extension and have the "YYYYMMDDHHMMSS" name format (year, month, day, hour, minute and second). The backup files are located in the subfolder called "Notes backups" of the folder where the note file is stored. The number of days for how long the backup copy will be stored can be adjusted by using the "Remove backup files older than" option. By default, this value is 7 days.

The dialog window for restoring notes from a backup file looks as follows:

To restore your notes, press "Browse..." and select the desired backup file. After you do this, you will see the number of notes it contains and the date it was created. To restore notes, press the "Restore" button to recover you notes.

Keep in mind that after you restore notes from a backup file, your current notes will be deleted. So, make sure you create a backup copy of your current note file - notes.xml
