Digital sticky notes for PC desktops

June 1 2004 - Desktop BITs has released version v3.0 of dtNotes.

dtNotes (stands for desktop notes) is a small handy application that lets computer users place electronic sticky notes onto their computer monitors. The program is much more powerful, yet more intuitive then most similar applications.

dtNotes supports a wide variety of experience enhancing features, like color-coding, note backup and archiving, as well as a note manager - one of a kind feature not available in any other similar software. With it, one can edit notes, export them to MS Outlook, create note templates and do much more. Another integral feature is a note switcher, a component that lets users quickly browse through the notes.

dtNotes is fully customizable, allowing users to set note location, size, alarm settings, content, priority or import/export options. The program is much more effective then bulky PIMs (personal information managers) in running every day tasks, chores and appointments. Plus, with "always on top" option and sound alarm, there is a 100% guarantee that one will not forget about important events.

The best thing about the program is how easy it is to create, alter and manage notes. There are system-wide hotkeys that help create a new note by simply pressing a hotkey combination or double-clicking program system tray icon. The program note list manager can be used as a "To Do" list. Another advantage is an option to stamp notes with date and time they were created. One can even turn a note into a desktop clock and place it anywhere.
